MY BIO

Prior to co-founding the Global Initiative for Skills Portability (a think tank focused on the future of education), Leticia Gasca co-founded the movement Fuckup Nights, present in over 300 cities in 90 countries, and the Failure Institute, the first research centre in the world devoted to studying business failure.

She has been recognized as a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, where she was designated as co-chair of the Education and Employment Steering Committee. She also leads the project “Shaping the Future of Work,” a global initiative created to understand the needs and perspectives of young people around the future of jobs.

Chosen by The Economist as one of the Voices from 2040 and Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by World Innovation Expo, Leticia is passionate about harnessing the power of technology and knowledge to create a better future for all. From a young age, she has worked on educational projects with indigenous communities. When Leticia was only 20 years old, she represented Mexico at the United Nations during the 62nd Session of the General Assembly.

Leticia was featured by OZY Magazine as a “Rising Star” and currently advises international NGOs, such as Oxfam and Ashoka. She is also founding member of the Mexican Association of Entrepreneurs.

She has spoken at the United Nations, at Stanford University, at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, at the BBVA Open Summit, Forbes Forum and official TED events.

She is author of the book Surviving Failure, and columnist at several newspapers and magazines.

Antes de cofundar la Global Initiative for Skills Portability (un think tank enfocado en el futuro de la educación), Leticia Gasca cofundó el movimiento Fuckup Nights, presente en más de 300 ciudades de 90 países, y el Failure Institute, el primer centro de investigación en el mundo dedicado al estudio del fracaso empresarial.

Leticia ha sido reconocida como Global Shaper del Foro Económico Mundial, donde fue nombrada co-chair del Education and Employment Steering Committee. Además, dirige el proyecto “Shaping the Future of Work”, una iniciativa global creada para comprender las necesidades y perspectivas de los jóvenes sobre el futuro del trabajo.

Leticia fue elegida por The Economist como una de las Voices from 2040 y Emprendedora del año por World Innovation Expo. Su misión es aprovechar el poder de la tecnología y el conocimiento para crear un futuro mejor para todos. Desde temprana edad trabajó en proyectos educativos con comunidades indígenas. Cuando tenía 20 años representó a México en la Organización de las Naciones Unidas durante el 62º período de sesiones de la Asamblea General.

Leticia fue reconocida por OZY Magazine como “Rising Star” y es consejera de ONGs internacionales como Oxfam y Ashoka. También es socia fundadora de la Asociación de Emprendedores de México (ASEM).

Es autora del libro Sobrevivir al Fracaso y columnista de varios periódicos y revistas.
